John Ditzler learned to sail on the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay but wound up in Colorado sailing on lakes where the wind is unpredictable and the facilities are limited. He started with a MacGregor Venture 21, then owned a Catalina 22, and now an Orion 27 (which he says is large enough, thank you). In two years he will retire from UPS and plans to take Allegra to the salt water.
