1982 ‘Alchemist’ is one of only four North Atlantic 29 junk rig sailboats around and probably the best example out there. Built by Bounty Yachts in California and designed by English offshore racing designer Angus Primrose and Blondie Hasler she has just undergone a four-year complete refit and is a TURN KEY boat, ready for some serious sailing. This boat is perfect for the cruising couple who want to explore far flung places in comfort and safety. Heavily laid up, solid, thick fiberglass hull w/glassed in reinforcing stringers. The hull and deck are super thick and super strong. You feel it when you walk on deck. This boat is built like a TANK. The full width cabin top gives a remarkable amount of livable space down below for a 29 footer. Comes with a swinging gimbaled chair for the inside sailing station. You can completely control the boat from inside while dry, warm and comfortable. You can even adjust the wind vane from inside, so there is almost no need to go outside the cabin on a long passage. 4 Berths: 1 Queen size (or two single) and one double (if less than 5’10”). Currently in Jacksonville, Florida. $24,500.
