Arthur Robb

Arthur C. Robb (1903-1974) was a distinguished British yacht designer whose career spanned from the 1920s to the 1970s. Initially working with wooden construction, Robb successfully transitioned to fiberglass design in the 1960s. His most famous design is the Robb 35 Lion class, which dominated British offshore racing in the late 1960s. Other notable designs include the successful one-tonner Yeoman and numerous cruising yachts. Robb served as Lloyd's Register surveyor and was known for his engineering precision and attention to structural detail. His designs balanced racing performance with seaworthiness, making them popular with both racers and cruisers.
