Cheoy Lee Yachts

Cheoy Lee Shipyards, founded in 1870 in Hong Kong, became one of Asia's most prestigious yacht builders. Initially building junks and commercial vessels, Cheoy Lee entered yacht construction in the 1960s, working with American designers including Arthur Edmunds, Robert H. Perry, and others. Their boats were known for exceptional craftsmanship, traditional construction methods, and attention to detail. Notable series included the Offshore series designed by Arthur Edmunds, various motorsailers, and custom yachts. Cheoy Lee boats featured heavy displacement, traditional styling, and robust construction suitable for offshore cruising. The yard helped establish Hong Kong as a center for quality yacht construction and continues operations today.
