Welsford Houdini Dinghy

Description

The Welsford Houdini is a charming, compact wooden sailing dinghy designed by New Zealand naval architect John Welsford (jwboatdesigns.co.nz). Introduced around 2011, it's marketed as a "serious" escape machine—an "escape machine" inspired by Harry Houdini—ideal for solo or small-crew adventures, camp-cruising, daysailing, or use as a yacht tender. It's a high-volume, high-freeboard pocket cruiser in dinghy form: capable of sleeping two (with tenting), daysailing four (or more in light conditions), and handling coastal or sheltered waters with surprising seaworthiness for its size.
