Finnrose 37

Finnrose 37

Description

The Finnrose 37 is a classic cruiser designed by British naval architect Angus Primrose in the early 1970s (first built around 1971–1972). It was constructed in fiberglass by Bellena Marine Ltd. (UK) and other small yards, with a limited production run (estimates suggest fewer than 50–100 hulls total, making it relatively rare today). The boat is known for its robust build, reassuring stability in all conditions, and generous sail plan that delivers excellent light-air performance—ideal for serious cruising, whether coastal hopping or ocean crossings. It features a masthead sloop rig, fin keel, and skeg-hung rudder for a balance of stability, speed, and agility. The design emphasizes seaworthiness (cut-away forefoot, 3/4 long keel), with a comfortable interior for liveaboard or extended passages (though dated by modern standards).
