Able Poitin 24 Fractional Rig
Description
The Able Poitin 24 with a fractional rig (also known as the Evelyn 24 or, in later production, Pointin 24) is a performance-oriented, 24-foot monohull sailboat designed by Robert Evelyn and built by Able Shipwrights Inc. in the USA starting in 1975. Some later models were produced by Recreation Marine in Warren, Rhode Island, under the name Pointin 24. The fractional rig version, as opposed to the more common masthead rig, was designed for enhanced racing performance, offering better sail control and balance, particularly in competitive settings.

Disclaimer. Boats are not all the same -- even when produced in the same factory of the same model. Sailrite does its best to publish accurate dimensions, but we often find it worthwhile to have our customers measure their boats carefully before we produce kits for them. You should take the same precautions, especially when the data is not from Sailrite.
