Allied Boat Company, based in Catskill, New York, was a prominent American fiberglass sailboat manufacturer operating from the 1960s through the early 1980s. Founded by the Allied Chemical Corporation, the company produced a range of well-regarded cruising sailboats designed by notable naval architects including Thomas Gillmer, Arthur Edmunds, and William H. Tripp Jr. Popular models included the Allied Seawind 30 ketch, Seabreeze 35, and Princess 36. Allied boats were known for solid construction, conservative design, and good sailing characteristics. The company built approximately 1,700 boats before closing in 1982. Allied yachts remain popular on the used boat market, valued for their sturdy construction and proven offshore capabilities.
