E.G. van de Stadt (1910-1999) was a pioneering Dutch yacht designer whose innovative designs revolutionized recreational sailing worldwide. Founded in 1946, his design office created over 300 designs including production boats, custom yachts, and designs for amateur builders. Van de Stadt pioneered fiberglass construction in Europe and created numerous successful designs including the Dehler series, Pioneer series, and many others built worldwide. His designs emphasized performance, seaworthiness, and buildability, making sailing accessible to a broader audience.
