C and C Yachts
C&C Yachts, founded in 1969 by George Cuthbertson and George Cassian in Ontario, Canada, became one of the world's most successful performance yacht manufacturers. Working with designers including Ron Holland, Rob Ball, and their own design team, C&C produced racing and cruising yachts from 24 to 67 feet. Notable designs include the C&C 35, which dominated IOR racing, and numerous other successful racers and cruiser-racers. C&C pioneered many construction and design innovations, including early use of balsa core construction and sophisticated underbody designs. At their peak, C&C was Canada's largest yacht manufacturer and a dominant force in international yacht racing. The company continued through various ownership changes into the 2000s.
