Elvstrøm (Denmark)

Elvstrøm (often spelled Elvström or Elvstrøm in Danish contexts) refers to the Danish boatbuilding operations tied to legendary sailor Paul Elvstrøm (1928–2016), who transitioned from sailmaking to yacht design and production in the 1970s. While best known today for Elvstrøm Sails (a global sailmaking leader based in Aabenraa, Denmark, employing ~300 people), Elvstrøm's boatbuilding was a separate venture that peaked in the 1970s–1980s and is no longer active as a standalone entity.
