The Yankee Clipper 41 (also known as the Formosa 41 or Atlantic Clipper) is a classic fiberglass masthead ketch designed by renowned naval architect William Garden and built by Formosa Boat Building Co. Ltd. in Taiwan from 1973 onward. Inspired by traditional clipper lines, it was marketed as a sturdy bluewater cruiser for long-distance voyages, with over 200 units produced—many still circling the globe today. Its heavy displacement, long keel, and ketch rig provide exceptional stability and load-carrying capacity, making it a favorite for liveaboards and passage makers. Similar to the CT-41 and Sea Wolf 40, it's overbuilt for durability but often critiqued for modest speed.
