Whitby 42
Description
The Whitby 42 is a 42-foot Canadian-built center-cockpit ketch designed by Ted Gozzard and produced by Whitby Boat Works (Ontario) from 1973 to 1988, with ~270 hulls built. Renowned as a bulletproof bluewater cruiser, it features a long encapsulated keel, full skeg rudder, moderate ketch rig, and overbuilt hand-laid fiberglass—optimized for long-distance liveaboard cruising, short-handed sailing, and ultimate safety in any weather.
