Westerly 34 / 35 Seahawk
Description
The Westerly Seahawk 34 (and its close successor, the Seahawk 35) are center-cockpit family cruisers from Westerly Marine Construction Ltd. (Hamble, UK), known for solid build quality and practical cruising features. Designed by Ed Dubois (British naval architect, renowned for efficient, seaworthy yachts including many Westerlys like the Konsort, Griffon, and later models). Builder: Westerly Marine Ltd. (UK) — produced in the mid-to-late 1980s. Production and Variants: Seahawk 34: First built 1984, last built 1988; ~125 hulls. Seahawk 35: Introduced 1988 as a minor update to the 34 — added an extended "sugar scoop" transom (with bathing platform) for better access/swimming and slightly improved aesthetics/lines. Same hull design (shares with the Westerly Falcon sloop variant); available in fin keel or twin (bilge) keels. Limited production (~40–50 hulls estimated for the 35 specifically).
