Description
The Westerly Renown 32 (often called the Renown 32 or Westerly Renown) is a center-cockpit family cruiser from Westerly Marine Construction Ltd. (Hamble, UK), built 1972–1980. It's part of the Westerly "32-foot family" sharing the same basic Laurent Giles-designed hull: Berwick (aft cockpit sloop), Longbow (aft cockpit sloop), Pentland (center cockpit ketch), and Renown (center cockpit ketch). The Renown emphasizes spacious accommodations and seaworthiness over pure speed—solid, stable, and well-regarded for coastal/offshore cruising (many crossed the Atlantic or circumnavigated).
