Description
The Westerly Pageant 23 is a compact, classic British family cruiser built by Westerly Marine Construction Ltd. in the UK from 1970 to 1979 (with some sources noting minor overlap into the early 1980s). Designed by Laurent Giles & Partners (Jack Laurent Giles, renowned for seaworthy, practical designs like many Westerly models), it was produced in significant numbers—approximately 551 hulls—making it one of Westerly's more common smaller classics. It features twin bilge keels (standard for drying out on tidal flats) and a masthead sloop rig, emphasizing solid GRP construction, surprising interior volume for its length, standing headroom, and forgiving coastal cruising performance—ideal for UK/Irish waters, shallow estuaries, or protected sailing.
