Venture 25

Description

The Venture 25 is an American trailerable sailboat designed by Roger MacGregor as an affordable, performance-oriented cruiser for small families or couples. It was produced by MacGregor Yacht Corporation from 1973 to 1980 and later rebranded as the MacGregor 25 (with minor updates) until 1987. The boat emphasizes lightweight construction, ease of trailering, and speed, making it suitable for day sailing, weekend trips, or short coastal cruises in protected waters. Like other MacGregor designs, it features positive foam flotation for unsinkability and a retractable keel for shallow-water access. Over its production run, approximately 7,000 units were built, contributing to its popularity and induction into the American Sailboat Hall of Fame in 2000 for democratizing recreational sailing.

Disclaimer. Boats are not all the same -- even when produced in the same factory of the same model. Sailrite does its best to publish accurate dimensions, but we often find it worthwhile to have our customers measure their boats carefully before we produce kits for them. You should take the same precautions, especially when the data is not from Sailrite.
