The Venture of Newport 23 is a 22.58-foot trailerable character sailboat designed by Roger MacGregor and built by MacGregor Yacht Corp between 1973 and 1984. It is a cutter rigged sloop with a spooned raked stem and a retractable swing keel. The boat is primarily made of fiberglass with wood trim and has a displacement of 2,000 lb (907 kg) with 600 lb (272 kg) of ballast. It is designed as a miniature replica of a 19th-century pilot cutter.
