Venture 222
Description
The Venture 222 is a 22-foot (6.7 m) trailerable sailboat designed by Roger MacGregor as a cruiser and built by MacGregor Yacht Corporation from 1971 to 1982. It’s a lightweight, versatile masthead sloop, closely related to the Venture 22 and MacGregor 22, with minor differences in hardware, hatches, and rigging. Popular for day sailing and short cruises, it’s valued for its affordability, ease of trailering, and forgiving handling, making it ideal for beginners and small families.
