Venture 22

Description

The Venture 22 is an American trailerable sailboat designed by Roger MacGregor as an affordable cruiser for families or small groups. It was produced by MacGregor Yacht Corporation from 1968 to 1971 and is now out of production. The boat emphasizes simplicity, low cost, and ease of trailering, making it ideal for weekend sailing or day trips. It features positive foam flotation, rendering it unsinkable, and a lightweight design that allows for easy launching and retrieval. The Venture 22 is very similar to the MacGregor 22 and evolved into the Venture 222 in 1971, with minor differences in hardware, hatches, and rig dimensions.

Disclaimer. Boats are not all the same -- even when produced in the same factory of the same model. Sailrite does its best to publish accurate dimensions, but we often find it worthwhile to have our customers measure their boats carefully before we produce kits for them. You should take the same precautions, especially when the data is not from Sailrite.
