Tracker 7.7
Description
The Tracker 7.7 is a classic fiberglass trailerable cruiser designed by British naval architect Alan Wright as his first major sailboat project. Introduced in 1976, this 25-foot monohull (metric length 7.7 meters) was initially built in wood from plans, gaining popularity after a positive review in Sea Spray magazine. Later fiberglass versions were produced by Craddock Fiberglass Ltd. in New Zealand, emphasizing affordability, stability, and ease of handling for coastal cruising, day sailing, or short overnights for 2–4 people on lakes, bays, or protected waters. It features a masthead sloop rig, a fixed fin keel with a transom-hung rudder for good directional stability, and a compact cabin with V-berth and settees. A bilge keel variant (draft 2.75 ft / 0.85 m) allows drying out in tidal areas, making it popular in regions like New Zealand and Australia.

Disclaimer. Boats are not all the same -- even when produced in the same factory of the same model. Sailrite does its best to publish accurate dimensions, but we often find it worthwhile to have our customers measure their boats carefully before we produce kits for them. You should take the same precautions, especially when the data is not from Sailrite.
