Tayana 48
Description
The Tayana 48 was designed by Robert Perry with deck and interior redesign by Rob Ladd in the early 2000s, built by Ta Yang Yacht Building Co. in Taiwan with production beginning in 1992 and continuing to present day with over 200 units completed. This 48-foot cutter-rigged sailboat evolved from the Tayana 47 and features hand-laminated fiberglass construction with PVC foam core, cast iron ballast glassed into a modified fin keel, and skeg-mounted rudder configuration, displacing 35,000 pounds with 11,675 pounds of ballast and drawing 6 feet (5.33 feet shoal option available). Available in both standard center cockpit and deck salon (DS) configurations, the vessel offers a waterline length of 40.25 feet, beam of 14.5 feet.
