Tartan 41 Tall Rig

Description

The Tartan 41 Tall Rig, designed by the legendary firm Sparkman & Stephens (design #1947), was produced by Tartan Marine from 1971 to 1976, with 67 hulls built across the Tartan 41 series (Tall Rig as an optional configuration). This masthead sloop variant enhances the standard model's offshore prowess with a taller mast and boom for increased sail area (~778 sq ft vs. 729 sq ft), improving light-air speed and upwind pointing—featuring a fin keel with skeg-hung rudder for protected handling, and sleeping 6–7 in a classic teak interior, a timeless bluewater cruiser with strong resale value.
