Description

The Tartan 37 Blackwatch (also known as the Black Watch 37), designed by renowned naval architect Ted Hood, was produced from 1965 to 1970 by Douglass & McLeod and Tartan Marine, with 32 hulls built. This masthead yawl (often misreferred to as a ketch due to similar split-rig aesthetics) is a wood-coachroof variant of the standard fiberglass Tartan 37 sloop, offering enhanced traditional styling, stability, and light-air performance for coastal/offshore cruising—sleeping 5–6 in a mahogany-trimmed interior, and valued for its classic lines and seaworthiness.
