Tartan 31 (1992+)

Description

The Tartan 31 (1992+ "Piperized" model), designed by naval architect Tim Jackett, was produced by Tartan Marine from 1992 to 2006, with approximately 200 hulls built. This updated masthead sloop refines the original 1987 design with a redesigned interior, lighter ballast for better speed, and increased sail area for enhanced performance—featuring a fin keel (or optional Scheel shoal draft) with spade rudder for responsive handling, sleeping 4–5 in a modernized teak-accented layout, and prized for its build quality and coastal/offshore versatility.
