Tartan 30 C

Description

The Tartan 30 C (Centerboard variant), designed by the legendary firm Sparkman & Stephens (design #2016), was produced by Tartan Marine from 1970 to 1978, with 606 hulls built across the Tartan 30 series (centerboard models comprising a significant portion for shallow-water access). This masthead sloop offers versatile coastal cruising and racing with a retractable centerboard for draft reduction, paired with a fin keel stub for stability—sleeping 4–5 in a practical teak interior, and renowned for its agile handling, build quality, and enduring popularity as a starter classic.
