Description
The Tanzer 28, designed by Johann Tanzer and built by Tanzer Industries in Canada from 1972 to 1986 with over 360 hulls produced, is a nimble 28-foot performance cruiser featuring a 9.5-foot beam, 23.5-foot waterline, and a 5.17-foot fin keel (or optional 3.92-foot shoal) carrying 2,800 pounds of lead ballast in a light 7,400-pound displacement for a spirited SA/D of ~17.8 and PHRF ratings around 180–195. Its masthead sloop rig delivers 398 square feet of sail area for quick acceleration and balanced handling,
