The Tanzer 14 is a classic Canadian sailboat designed by Johann Tanzer as a lightweight, responsive daysailer and trainer dinghy that's forgiving for beginners while offering lively performance for racing. It's a small recreational centerboard boat known for its simplicity, stability, and ease of trailering, ideal for solo or two-person crews on lakes, bays, or protected coastal waters. First introduced in 1970, it was built until around 1986 by Tanzer Industries in Canada, with a few hundred units produced.
