Description
The Swan 55 is a luxurious bluewater cruising yacht designed by German Frers and built by Nautor’s Swan (Finland), renowned for blending high performance, comfort, and elegant Scandinavian design. First introduced in the early 1990s and relaunched in 2021 with refinements, it features a fractional sloop rig and is available with various keel configurations, including a centerboard (telescopic keel) option for shallow-water access while maintaining stability and upwind performance. This makes it ideal for owners seeking versatility for coastal cruising, island-hopping, or extended passages. The centerboard version allows a raised draft of 2.00 m (6.56 ft) for beaching or marinas, extending to 2.85 m (9.35 ft) when lowered. Interior layouts are customizable, typically with three guest cabins, two heads, and a flexible "stock" cabin for crew or storage, emphasizing privacy and light-filled spaces.
