Super Swift

Description

The Super Swift is a classic American dinghy / board boat produced by O'Day Corporation (a major U.S. sailboat builder in the 1960s–1970s) from around 1967 onward. It was the upgraded, higher-spec version of the basic O'Day Swift (a simple, affordable lateen-rigged trainer/daysailer), with better materials and features for improved performance and durability. The Swift/Super Swift line was marketed as ultra-portable, maneuverable fun boats—easy to cartop, store in a garage, or launch anywhere (beaches, small lakes, rivers). They're often compared to Sunfish or other lateen-rigged board boats but with a slightly longer hull and more refined setup. Production numbers were modest (around 1,700 Swift/Super Swift combined, making them somewhat rare today), and they're prized by collectors or enthusiasts restoring vintage small sailboats.
