Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 36

Description

The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 36 is a classic cruising sailboat designed by J&J Design (Jacques Fauroux and J. Berret), launched in 1989 as part of Jeanneau’s Sun Odyssey line, aimed at delivering affordable performance and comfort for coastal cruising and occasional offshore passages. Built in Les Herbiers, France, it was a popular choice for families and small crews, offering a spacious interior, a forgiving rig, and a balanced hull that sails well in varied conditions. With its moderate displacement, fin keel, and masthead sloop configuration, the Sun Odyssey 36 blends ease of handling with respectable speed, making it ideal for weekend getaways or extended coastal trips. Approximately 200–300 units were produced from 1989 to 1995, replaced by the Sun Odyssey 36.2 in 1996.
