Starlette

Starlette

Description

The Starlette is a 16‑foot fiberglass daysailer produced by Starcraft Marine (a division of Starcraft Boats) from the late 1960s through the 1970s. Built in moderate production numbers (several hundred units), it was marketed as an affordable, easy‑to‑sail family dinghy for lakes and sheltered waters. The boat features a lightweight fiberglass hull, simple masthead sloop rig, pivoting centerboard, and self‑bailing cockpit. Known for stability, good performance in light air, and easy trailering, the Starlette was a competitor to O’Day and Chrysler dinghies of the era. Its straightforward design and durable construction make it a solid choice for beginners and cottage sailors today.
