Spaekhugger

Spaekhugger

Description

The Spækhugger (literally "Killer Whale" in Danish) is a 24.41-foot fractional sloop designed by Peter Bruun and built starting in 1969. This vessel represents one of the most successful Danish sailboat designs ever created, with approximately 500 copies built and achieving the distinction of becoming Denmark's most popular boat during the 1970s. The name reflects Peter Bruun's fascination with orcas and their smooth, round shapes that inspired his hull design philosophy.
