Soverel 39

Soverel 39

Description

The Soverel 39 is a high-performance racing yacht designed by Mark Soverel and built by Soverel Marine (USA) from 1984 to 1988. This 38.42-foot vessel represents the logical, scaled-up successor to the wildly successful Soverel 33, intended to provide a more robust offshore platform capable of competing in premier racing circuits of the mid-1980s, such as the Southern Ocean Racing Conference (SORC). The boat was produced in two distinct phases: an initial series of lightweight, minimalist hulls built by Soverel Marine in North Palm Beach, and a subsequent, more refined production run by Tartan Yachts after they acquired the tooling.
