South Pacific 42

South Pacific 42

Description

The South Pacific 42 is a 41.92-foot performance-oriented cutter designed by renowned naval architect Robert Perry (often referred to as a Robert Perry 42) and built in fiberglass (GRP) by South Pacific Yachts (or Export Yachts) in New Zealand, primarily in 1988–1989 (with at least one additional hull built around 1990 and possibly a later one in Hamilton). Only 3 boats (or very few) were constructed, making it a rare, semi-custom offshore cruiser with high-quality layup engineering by High Modulus. It was developed as a fast, capable bluewater cruiser with spacious accommodations, excellent seakeeping, and modern performance for its era, featuring a fin keel with bulb, cutter rig, and practical layout including 3 cabins, a superb galley, large saloon, and headroom up to 6'5".
