Singolla 34

Singolla 34

Description

This Swedish cruiser was designed by Per Brohäll and first built in 1970 by Albin Marine. The boat's name comes from a medieval legend about a Romani woman, which was also featured in a famous 1949 film and 1940 opera. The Singoalla 34 represents an enlarged development of Brohäll's earlier Vega 27 design, though it wasn't a commercial success and remained in production for only a short time with limited boats sold. Built predominantly of fiberglass with wood trim, this recreational keelboat features a masthead sloop rig with aluminum spars, deck-stepped mast, wire standing rigging, and single set of unswept spreaders. The hull design includes a raked stem, slightly angled transom, skeg-mounted rudder controlled by wheel, and fixed fin keel configuration.
