Sigma 362
Description
The Sigma 362 is a 36-foot masthead sloop (with a fractional rig option on some boats) designed by David Thomas and built by Marine Projects Ltd. (for Sigma Yachts) in Plymouth, UK, starting in 1983. It shares the proven hull of the earlier Sigma 36 racer but features an entirely new deck and a significantly improved, more modern interior layout—including one of the first Sigma models with a popular double aft cabin—making it a well-regarded performance cruiser-racer that balances speed, comfort, and seaworthiness for coastal/offshore use. Exact production numbers are not prominently published but appear to be in the low hundreds (a relatively successful model in the Sigma lineup before the company’s later transitions).
