Sigma 33 C

Sigma 33 C

Description

The Sigma 33C is the cruising-oriented variant of the popular Sigma 33 series, designed by David Thomas and built by Marine Projects Ltd. (Sigma Yachts) in Plymouth, UK, primarily between 1981 and 1985. Approximately 44 Sigma 33Cs were constructed (compared to ~364 of the standard Sigma 33 OOD, for a combined total exceeding 400 boats across versions). It was developed as a more "detuned" family cruiser with easier handling for non-racing crews while retaining the solid fiberglass construction, practical 6-berth interior, and capable seaworthiness of the David Thomas lineup—some 33Cs have even completed double Atlantic crossings and competed successfully in events like the Fastnet Race.
