The Shaw 24 (also Fred Shaw 24) is a trailerable pocket cruiser sailboat designed by Australian Fred Shaw, offered as plywood plans since the 1970s through designers like Bruce Roberts or Selway-Fisher. Dozens to hundreds homebuilt worldwide (exact quantity undocumented), featuring chined plywood hull, lifting keel or centerboard, fractional sloop rig, and compact cuddy cabin—ideal for solo/coastal sailing with good stability and shallow draft. Key features: lightweight ~1,500 lb, self-righting, easy construction, and versatile for bays or lakes.
