Shannon 50

Shannon 50

Description

The Shannon 50 is a luxurious heavy-displacement bluewater ketch or cutter sailboat designed by Walter Schultz, first built in 1989 by Shannon Boat Company in Bristol, Rhode Island. Fewer than 20 hulls were produced through the 1990s (semi-custom, low-volume run), featuring solid hand-laid fiberglass construction (Divinycell-cored deck), centerboard keel (draft 5'-10'), skeg rudder, and opulent teak interiors—engineered for ultimate shorthanded ocean cruising with unmatched stability, speed, and comfort. Key features: pilothouse option, massive tankage (300+ gal fuel/water), twin heads, full galley, and cutter/ketch rigs for versatility.
