Shannon 43

Description

The Shannon 43 is a premium heavy-displacement bluewater cutter-rigged sailboat designed by Walter Schultz, first built in 1984 by Shannon Boat Company in Bristol, Rhode Island. Around 30-50 hulls were produced through the early 1990s (part of Shannon's high-end series with semi-custom options), featuring solid hand-laid fiberglass construction (no core), long keel or keel/centerboard, skeg rudder, and extensive teak joinery—optimized for long-distance cruising with superior stability, comfort, and shorthanded capability. Key features: center cockpit, cutter rig, large fuel/water tanks (150+ gal each), and luxurious U-shaped galley/saloon for 4-6.
