Shannon 28 Cutter
Description
The Shannon 28 is a robust bluewater cutter-rigged sailboat designed by Walter Schultz, first built in 1975 by Shannon Boat Company in Bristol, Rhode Island. Over 100 hulls were produced through 1989, featuring hand-laid solid fiberglass construction (no core), full keel with skeg rudder, heavy displacement, and premium teak interiors—renowned for circumnavigations and offshore safety. Key features: protected cockpit, large sail locker, cutter rig for short-handed sailing, and excellent build quality.
