Description
The Semi Dory 11 (model code SD11) by Bateau.com is an 11-foot flat-bottom dory-type open dinghy designed by Jacques Martens (sometimes associated with Mertens-Goossens plans). It is offered as a stitch-and-glue plywood plan set for amateur builders, with no factory production—quantities built are unknown but limited to individual home or small-shop projects worldwide since its introduction as part of Bateau.com's line of simple, affordable small craft. Construction uses flat plywood panels (typically 6 mm) assembled with epoxy and fiberglass tape, resulting in an exceptionally light 86 lb (39 kg) hull that is easy to build with minimal tools or woodworking experience.
