Seidelmann 299 (30)
Description
The Seidelmann 299 (also known as the Seidelmann 30 in some contexts) is a 29'11" (9.1 m) fiberglass monohull performance cruiser designed by J. Robert (Bob) Seidelmann and built by Seidelmann Yachts (U.S.) from 1979 to 1981. Production was short-lived (only about 2–3 years), making it a relatively rare model from the late-1970s/early-1980s era of IOR-influenced racer-cruisers. It's praised by owners for solid build quality, good sailing performance, and surprising seaworthiness for its size—some describe it as capable of handling "anything you have the cahones to put it to" in offshore conditions, though it's primarily suited to coastal/protected to semi-protected waters.
