Watkins Seawolf 33

Watkins Seawolf 33

Description

The Seawolf 33 (most commonly known as the Watkins 33 or Watkins Seawolf 33) is a 33-foot American fiberglass monohull coastal/offshore cruising sailboat designed by William H. Tripp Jr. in collaboration with the Watkins Design Team (often credited as W. Tripp/Watkins Yachts). It was built by Watkins Yachts Inc. in Clearwater, Florida, from 1984 to 1989, featuring solid fiberglass construction with a shoal-draft fin keel and rudder on skeg. The model is a modified version of the Watkins 32 (itself derived from the Columbia 32), with updates including a reverse transom and revised interior layout; after Watkins was sold to McLaughlin Body Company in 1986, the sailboat line was rebranded as Seawolf, so later examples carried Seawolf badging or marketing. Only 47 boats were built, making it a relatively rare production model before sailboat output ceased in 1989.
