Seaward 32 Rk

Description

The Seaward 32RK is a versatile, trailerable cruiser designed for shallow-water exploration, coastal cruising, and occasional offshore passages. Built by Hake Yachts (later integrated with Island Packet Yachts), it's renowned for its retractable keel (RK stands for "Retracting Keel"), which allows access to thin waters while maintaining seaworthiness when deployed. First introduced in 2006 and out of production since around 2013, the 32RK combines the comfort of a larger cruiser with the mobility of a smaller boat, making it ideal for couples or small families who want to trailer their vessel to different cruising grounds. It's praised for its build quality, especially in later models constructed at Island Packet's facility, but some owners note limitations for extended blue water voyages due to its light displacement and ratios.
