Searaker 50 Cutter

Searaker 50 Cutter

Description

The Searaker 50 is a sturdy bluewater ketch sailboat designed by renowned Pacific Northwest naval architect Edwin Monk Sr., built by Windward Marine Ltd. (under owner Harold Stocker) in Tacoma/Puyallup, Washington, starting in 1976. Hand-constructed in GRP with a long keel, only about 7 hulls were produced in the late 1970s before the yard closed, available in ketch or cutter/sloop configurations (e.g., hull #3 named Seaterra). It's celebrated for its solid construction, heavy displacement for offshore cruising, and classic Monk lines emphasizing seaworthiness and teak interiors.
