Seafarer 26
Description
The Seafarer 26 is a compact American trailerable cruiser designed by McCurdy & Rhodes and built by Seafarer Yachts in Huntington, New York, USA. Produced in 1977 (with limited output, estimated <50 hulls), it features a fiberglass hull with a fin keel and skeg-hung rudder for balanced tracking, raked stem, and transom stern, prioritizing ease of trailering, stability, and coastal performance for weekend sailors. This masthead sloop offers a cozy interior sleeping 4 (V-berth forward, saloon settees converting to doubles, compact galley with sink/stove, and portable head), with good ventilation and storage for short trips. Available in standard (3.75 ft draft) or shoal-draft (2.58 ft) variants, it's responsive in light airs (moderate SA/D) with a sea-kindly motion, though the borderline capsize number suits protected waters over offshore.
