Seaclipper 10
Description
The Seaclipper 10 is a compact, trailerable plywood trimaran designed by acclaimed small-boat architect John Welsford in 1997. Marketed as an affordable day sailer and solo trainer, it's renowned for its simplicity, stability, and sheer fun—ideal for beginners, families, or anyone seeking a lightweight harbor racer that fits in a garage. Built primarily from 1/4-inch plywood with full-size patterns for easy home construction, it features sealed amas (outriggers) for unsinkable flotation and a folding beam for trailering under 8 feet wide. Over hundreds have been built worldwide since plans became available through WoodenBoat, with owners praising its "smile-inducing" performance in light to moderate breezes.
