Hardin Sea Wolf 40

Hardin Sea Wolf 40

Description

The Sea Wolf 40 (also styled Seawolf 40 or Hardin Sea Wolf 40) is a 40.9-foot heavy-displacement, bluewater-capable fiberglass (with some early wood versions) monohull cruising masthead ketch designed by William Garden (with Bill Hardin supervision on the production version). The original Sea Wolf concept traces back to late-1950s Japanese builds, but the production model first appeared in 1966 and was primarily constructed in Taiwan by Formosa Boat Building Co. Ltd., Hardin Yachts, and Pacific Far East (among other yards producing derivatives under similar names). Exact production quantity is not precisely documented but is considered moderate for its era, with many examples still actively cruising today due to the robust, roomy construction
